There are main line railway stations at Ivybridge which is on the route and Newton Abbot which has bus connections for Bovey Tracey.

• 178 from Bovey Tracey via all villages to Okehampton;
• 118 from Tavistock via Lydford to Okehampton;
• X38 from Ashburton via Buckfasleigh and South Brent to Ivybridge;
• 1 from Tavistock to Yelverton;
• 98 from Princetown to Tavistock.

For each of these routes there are generally busses Monday to Saturday at times which may fit in with day walkers itineries. Services 1 and X38 re the only ones which run on Sundays.
